I am currently working on my EdS degree and nearing the completion of the program. Having never taken an online class, I was a bit apprehensive about earning a degree through online courses. Nevertheless, I decided to give it a try. Thanks to a rigorous program and knowledgeable professors, I have learned a great deal this past year and a half. Everything from creating a website, developing curriculum webs, evaluating technology, and researching theory and practice have already proven valuable in my current job and will be skills that I will continue to utilize. In addition to the knowledge I've gained thus far, the experience of learning online has been positive. The professors have created an atmosphere of high expectations coupled with encouragement and support. They have all been easy to communicate with and are willing to work with students with special circumstances. Because they are constantly evaluating the program for improvements, they encourage honest feedback of each course with genuine interest in our opinions. Unlike other programs, the books, articles, and Internet materials coupled with each course in this program have been utilized thoroughly, leaving me feeling as though I have gotten my money's worth. Overall, I'd say this has been an excellent experience.

The Ed. S. Online program prepares tomorrow’s technology leaders today. Built on solid adult pedagogy, students are given opportunities, research, design, develop and evaluate a wide variety of instructional tools. It is very challenging! You will feel the digital burn. But it is so worth the hard work.

I completed my Specialist (6 year) degree here. It was a good experience. I feel like I learned a lot to help me improve my teaching ability. A large emphasis was placed on curriculum design which has helped me better understand how to adapt my curriculum to better meet the needs of my students. The professors were, in general, very supportive. Most of them worked extra hard to understand the balance of life outside the program as well as keeping the program challenging and useful.
