The idea is great and perhaps when it first began it did great things. Now the program is very disorganized and hard to navigate. Advisors are not helpful. The tech people are the only helpful people that I have ever spoken to in the office. The director is painful to try and deal with. She is a sweet woman but the extent of her stops there. Worse then being unhelpful, they don't REALLY listen to what it is that you want out of the experience. If you are looking for a program that has a good name and isn't very rigorous this would be fine for you. However, if you believe all of their kool-aid about The University Without Walls and you want a serious program then I suggest you look else where.

This is a terrific program for working adults, especially those with significant life experience and previous college credits. Many distance learning colleges require 30 or more credits to be completed as a matriculated student. UWW is much more flexible. There are three required campus visits, which is not bad considering Saratoga Springs is a beautiful town. The only slightly negative aspect is the price. It's costlier than similar programs. Still highly recommended.
