It is terrible to note that after all this time spending attending school and paying your tuition on time because if you're late you will be charged a $7. late fee. I was misled into this course though I learned a lot especially the medical terminology. But I have to get to the bottom of this. Please people! please check thing out thoroughly before making a final decision. I did check and asked a friend to double and everything seemed perfect, but SURPRISE! SURPRISE! I was very skeptical about online courses, but this one fooled me big time.

All these healthcare programs at Penn Foster or any other online school you need to research your major to find out if you need to be certified or registered most require you to take a STATE exam. For the Health Information Technology degree you are required to take a state exam and be registered as a RHIT to be hired in a hospital or any other healthcare facility. To take the examination, a person must graduate from a 2-year associate degree program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM).  Penn Foster HIT program classes are good but they are not accredited by the CAHIM if you take this program it will be a waste of time and you will not get hired.
