HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Yes, I completed my degree and the work was challenging and good but the financial aid department is/was HORRIBLE! If you value your credit, don't do it! Thank you for your online post about Ellis College. My story is very similar to many posted here - I knew nothing of a debt with this college until 3 years after I graduated (grad date 2006). In fact, this college sent funds “back” to Sallie Mae as late as 2009 for 2006! They NEVER notified me of a debt with them and NEVER informed me they were sending funds back to Sallie Mae! Look, I’ve been posting my anger since learning of my debt in June of 2009 and have received responses from several other Ellis/NYIT graduates. I don't intend on letting them ruin my excellent credit rating without a fight! I've already compiled a list of at least 10 people that have had the very same experience and will be glad to add more.
