I really enjoy the Ashworth online community site. It definitely helped my education process. At first I was lost trying to understand the ropes of an online education and Ashworth wasn't being as responsive as I hoped they would be. The customer service was not at all very good. But with the Ashworth community other students gave me helpful tips and we helped each other with the classes. I made college friends without attending an actual campus :) It was cool.

The paralegal program is great but the transcript department sucks.

I believe Ashworth College is a good school with a great paralegal program. However, I believe their customer service is lacking in the transcript department. Overall, it is a better school than most people realized and many of the stuff are friendly. It is better than Penn Foster...which gave me the run around after trying to take my money.

Ashworth Exceeded My Expectations

I graduated from Ashworth College with an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies. I really enjoyed my experience with the school from day one and feel like the self-paced learning environment fit my busy schedule perfectly. I was actually kind of hesitant to take classes online, but it ended up being not difficult at all and very convenient. The tutors were always available to help me. It’s like having a personal teacher by your side the whole way, which was great. I have already been able to put my degree to good use. I recently started working at a local law office as a Paralegal. This is the same job I’ve applied for over the last two years, but now that have a college degree, I was finally able to get it! I never really experienced any of the issues that some other students have mentioned. I can definitely say that the statement about employers not accepting an Ashworth degree because it’s not regionally accredited is not true at all. I’m proof of that. Depending on the job, there may be employers who have their own policies, but I’ve never had any issue at all with employers recognizing my degree. I mention this because I had two other paralegal job offers that I turned down because the job I have now is the one I truly wanted. It’s also nice to graduate without any debt. I have friends who work in the same field as me who still owe thousands of dollars to their schools and are working at a lower level than me. I did have to wait an extra week for a book once, but that’s really the only negative thing I experienced, which wasn’t a big deal to be honest. I guess everyone’s experience is a little different, but mine was really great and I’d recommend Ashworth College to anyone.
